On the first day of 2022, the night sky of Lishui sparkles in Jinling again, and 76 groups of colored lanterns jointly light up the beautiful Lishui. In the Chinese new year, Lishui is “intoxicated” with bright lights. At 6 p.m. on January 1, the lighting ceremony of the fifth Qinhuai Lantern Festival in 2022 was officially launched in yongshoufang Cultural District. Hundreds of people gathered under the Yongshou Tower to witness this brilliant moment.

In the opening dance of “DragonSoaring through the Flourishing Age”, the lighting ceremony of the fifth Qinhuai Lantern Festival was officially opened. The bustle of the city is reflected incisively and vividly in this opening dance.

At the lighting ceremony, hundreds of bright Kongming lanterns slowly rose into the air and presented patterns of “Fortune”and “Longevity”, providing audiences a brilliant visual feast.

At the ceremony, folk performances such as Lion Dance, Sedan Chair Lifting, Horse Lantern, blessing videos from people from all walks of life in Lishui, song and dance performances such as “If you are happy and you know it”, "A phoenix comes with grace to rest" and "Praising the new era" presented citizens and tourists with a cultural feast with a festive atmosphere of the year.

District leaders Jing Disheng, Wang kequan, Zhang Weizhen, Wang Jinrong; Ge Huaqin, a National Model Worker in 2021; Mao Ansheng, Good People in China in 2021; Zhang Meng, a National Courageous Hero and the award winner of the sixth Moral Model of Jiangsu Province; Zhang Li, Nanjing outstanding Communist Party Member in 2021 and the City's Outstanding Individual in building a well-off society in an all-round way; Wu Zhongping, Nanjing Youth Entrepreneurship Potential Star in 2021 and National Typical Leader in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Li Wanying, an Outstanding Member of the Communist Youth League of the District and a Triple A Outstanding Student of the District, jointly pressed the start button of the ceremony. Nearly 100 groups of lanterns lit up at the same time, and the whole city was full of fireworks and lanterns.

Under the ancient Yongshou Tower in Baota Park, the 11.5-meter-long large lantern, “The auspicious tiger welcoming the Spring Festival”, with a tall and powerful tiger standing in the center, showing the picture of the Chinese New Year, attracting many people to enjoy it.

Yongshoufang Cultural District, as the main venue of this lantern festival, mainly focuses on traditional lanterns. The park also has theme lanterns such as "Heyun Wanjia Denghuo" and "Tiger-head Hat" to create a New Year atmosphere.

The theme of this year's Qinhuai Source Lantern Festival is "lighting up the future of the beautiful 'Lishui'. The lantern group is divided into five sections. In addition, this lantern festival integrates more elements such as the humanistic stories of the source of Qinhuai River, the spirit of the times and the auspicious new year, combined with sound and light transmission and modern atmosphere, to realize the interaction between people and lights and improve tourists' experience.

Today, Lishui Qinhuai Source Lantern Festival has become an important way for local citizens and foreign tourists to feel the flavor of the new year, showing the unique charm of Qinhuai source culture.

In order to fully display the grand occasion of the 5th Qinhuai Source Lantern Festival in Lishui, the financial media center of Lishui district jointly broadcast the whole lighting ceremony on multiple platforms such as the Jiaohuidian, Zijinshan News, Sina Jiangsu, Tencent live broadcast and Niuka Video. Citizens can feel the bright scenery under the night at home. The whole network has attracted more than 20 million people to watch online.
