Old houses and exhibitions telling the grand history

Stepping on the blue stone road into Li Lane, former residences of Chen Yi and Zhong Guochu and old houses with black bricks and tiles are silently telling the days of war. “With Li's Ancestral Hall as the timeline, you can visit five former residences and three characteristic red exhibitions, including Historical Research Hall of the New Fourth Army of China, Former Residence of Zhong Guochu, Former Residence of Jiang Weiqing, the Counter-Japanese War Collection Hall, and Former Residence of Mei Zhang." The tour guide of the red Li Lane said that in the seven years from 1938 to 1945, Li Lane was built into a command center, training class, arsenal, clothing factory and hospital, witnessing the complete process of the New Fourth Army's life, production, combat and training. At present, Li Lane as the center, a large number of red relics are gathered within a radius of about 5 kilometers around. Citizens and tourists can learn about the difficult journey of the New Fourth Army from its establishment to its expansion, and relive the revolutionary past of the hard struggle of the older generation of revolutionaries.

“There is a classic red route from the red Li Lane to Tongshan Memorial Square, which is ‘17 km cross-country walk of the youth in the flames of war’. The route starts from the red Li lane, passes through Nantou, Chalukou, Fangshan forest farm, Caozhuang, Tongshan Battle Memorial Square, and finally returns to the red Li Lane from the red Lijia Mountain, a total of 17 kilometers." The staff of red Li Lane said that the red Lijia Mountain was once a guerrilla base where soldiers of the New Fourth Army and General Su Yu often operated. In Su Yu’s memoirs, Lijia Mountain is an important assembly place for the advance detachment of the New Fourth Army. The gun repair factory and quilt factory here prove that Li Lane in Lishui was once the command center of thewar of resistance against Japanese aggressionin southern Jiangsu. After the 17-kilometer red classic route, tourists can review the history of the New Fourth Army in southern Jiangsu and enjoy the scenery of mountains and rivers.

Beautiful village leading rural revitalization

As the first batch of key rural tourism villages in Jiangsu Province and the training base for cadre education of the Party School of the provincial Party Committee of the CPC, every revolutionary cultural relic in Li Lane is engraved with a permanent red memory. After Li Lane became popular, Shitouzhai Village of Baima Town developed agritainment, B&B, picking and other business forms around Li Lane, which not only attracted a large number of tourists, but also really transformed clear water and green mountains into mountains of gold and silver.
