On the morning of March 3, 2024, the Lishui Strawberry Marathon kicked off with vitality at the foot of Wuxiang Mountain. About 12000 runners braved the warm spring sun, surging like pink waves in the mountains and fields, together embarking on a "good berry" event.

Wang Zhiguang, the first level inspector of the Provincial Sports Bureau, Miao Xiumei, the district mayor, Wu Chao, the director of the Provincial Sports Competition Management Center, Fei Jiawei, the deputy director of the Municipal Sports Bureau, Zhang Shuantai, the director of the Municipal Sports Competition and Social Sports Guidance Center, and Zhang Weizhen, the deputy district mayor, issued orders for the competition.

Passionate Li Marathon has a unique "berry" taste

At 8:30 in the morning, with the sound of the starting gun, the contestants rushed out from the intersection of Zhiyuan Road and Yongquan Road, engaging in a race of speed and passion.

This competition consists of two groups: half marathon (7000 people) and mini run (5000 people), with a total size of 12000 people. The half marathon project has a total length of 21.0975 kilometers, and the mini run project has a total length of about 4.3 kilometers.

Running Lishui Strawberry Marathon, admiring the beautiful scenery, showcasing strawberries... Participants can enjoy the scenery of the Zhuhai Avenue, Meihua Mountain Lane and other racetracks, as well as the panoramic display of the core features of the "Lishui Strawberry Marathon" at points such as Fujiabian Science and Technology Park and Strawberry Square. Along the way, large strawberry centralized supply points and Lishui specialty food supply stations are set up to replenish energy and taste the delicious taste of Lishui, allowing everyone to have a unique experience of Lishui Strawberry Marathon. Along the track, the performance cheering team cheered and cheered the contestants, and everyone was infected by the enthusiasm of Li Marathon throughout the journey.

Eight years of Li Marathon restart in fresh

From 2015 to 2024, a 10-year journey with 8 sessions. Li Marathon has become a sentiment among countless runners, and the label of "Strawberry Horse" has long been deeply ingrained in people's hearts. This year, the Lishui Strawberry Marathon has been upgraded in various aspects such as track, supplies, benefits, services, companion races, peripherals, and playtime, fully integrating the cultural and tourism characteristics of Lishui, highlighting the "strawberry" and "ecological" elements, and creating exclusive memories for runners and participating citizens of Lishui.

"I am very excited and want the children to experience the lively atmosphere of our Lishui Marathon and learn the never give up spirit of running." Lishui citizen Duan Yunyao participated in this mini marathon race with her children, gaining a beautiful and unforgettable experience.

"This is my third time participating in the Lishui Marathon, and I have a deep feeling. All aspects of service and benefits are in place. Not only can I enjoy the scenic area, but this year I can also enjoy various discounts such as accommodation and dining in Lishui with the number cloth. After the race, I will have a good time strolling and eating in Lishui," said Wu Jianfang, a contestant from Changzhou.

Among the many participants, the running group holding the banner of "Foreign Investment Gathers in Li to Boost Vitality" is particularly eye-catching. This is the first time that Lishui has focused on creating an elite road running feast for foreign enterprises. They are composed of 21 executives from 6 well-known foreign-funded enterprises in our region, including Kangmai (Nanjing) Machinery Co., Ltd. and Siemens CNC (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. "As personnel of foreign-funded enterprises, actively participating in local activities in Lishui will allow us and more partners to understand the cultural characteristics of Lishui. We are very grateful to Lishui for organizing this event. Let's run happily and work hard together to start a business." After intense competition, Jonathan Samanayo Korir from Kenya won the men's half distance championship with a time of 1 hour, 03 minutes, and 29 seconds. He said, "This is my first time participating in the Lishui Marathon, and I feel very different because the track is very challenging and the scenery is too beautiful. Everyone is very friendly and can enjoy the race to the fullest. I look forward to continuing to participate in the Lishui Marathon next year."

Brigid Jelimo Kabergei from Kenya won the women's half distance championship with a time of 1 hour, 16 minutes, and 03 seconds. Jiangsu athlete Shen Yuhan won the runner up with a time of 1 hour, 17 minutes, and 34 seconds. Shen Yuhan said that the Lishui Strawberry Marathon has a steep slope and great challenges, and this competition has created his best personal result. The experience of the beautiful race track in Lishui is so great. I really enjoyed eating strawberries, and I still want to come for such a competition!

Satisfied Li Marathon with fully guarantees

More than 1000 police officers are assigned personnel, positions, schedules, and responsibilities. 859 sanitation workers do a good job of cleaning along the track. Firefighters carry out security duties at designated locations.766 volunteers did a good job in service guarantee work. Along the way, there are 11 medical points, 10 ambulances, and more than 80 medical staff.
