On the morning of December 4, a major project signing ceremony for the Nanjing Airport CustomsClearance Base was held in the auditorium of the municipal government in Nanjing. Suning Holdings Group ("Suning"), Nanjing Airport Cultural Technology Development Co., Ltd (a live e-commerce incubator), and 16 Multi-Channel Network(MCN) benchmarking enterprises formally signed the contract and settled in the CustomsClearance Base.

Yang Xuepeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Nanjing Municipal Committee and First Deputy Mayor; Xu Yong, General Manager of Eastern Airport Group; Chen Youming, Deputy Secretary-General of the Nanjing Municipal Government; Chen Ping, Commissioner of Jinling Customs; Huang Chengwen, Director of the Nanjing Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau; Lishui District Leaders Zhang Yun; Ma Kang, Vice President at Suning and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Suning, attended the signing ceremony.

The Nanjing Airport Customs Clearance Project was jointly launched by Nanjing Lishui Economic Development Zone, Eastern Airport Group, and United Airport City. It is the second domestic integrated one-stop functional platform besides Beijing Capital International Airport, which can effectively compensate for the air cargo of Nanjing Lukou International Airport. It greatly improves customs clearance efficiency and effectively reduces logistics costs. Since the operation of Nanjing Airport CustomsClearance Base on May 8 this year, it has attracted a number of bonded logistics, cross-border e-commerce, live e-commerce and other related companies one after another. It is providing important support for the high-quality development of the city's trade economy.

The Suning cross-border e-commerce project signed this time is invested and operated by Suning Holdings Group. The group was founded in 1990 and currently ranks second among the top 500 Chinese non-state-owned enterprises. In 2019, it was listed on the Fortune Global 500. It ranked first among "China's 500 Most Valuable Brands" in 2019 in the retail industry with a brand value of 269.181 billion yuan. Suning plans to settle in the Nanjing Customs Bonded Logistics Center (type B), build a cross-border e-commerce industrial park, and carry out cross-border e-commerce business and bonded logistics business.

At the signing ceremony, Nanjing Airport Cultural Technology Development Co., Ltd., as the incubator of “Live Streaming E-commerce Industry Base of Lishui", introduced 16 MCN institutions. The live streaming e-commerce industry base is expected to cover an area of 12,000 square meters, relying on these functional platforms such as Nanjing Airport Customs Clearance Base, Nanjing Airport Bonded Logistics Center (type B), Nanjing Airport Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park, etc. A total of 100 facilities are planned, including live broadcast rooms, training centers, brand incubation centers, content production centers and supply chain operation centers.

Next, the Nanjing Airport Customs Clearance Base relying on its location advantage of nearing the hub airport, will give full play to the policy-oriented function of the comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zone in Nanjing. With the entering of live e-commerce incubation base and MCN institutions, it will further foster new momentum for high-level opening to the outside world, promote the upgrading of regional industrial structure, and help Lishui and even the city's airport economy to realize a “leap-forward” development.
