Seizing Orders, Busy Going Abroad! Lishui's Foreign Trade Enterprises Reach Full Production Capacity

The year’s plan starts in spring, and now is the time to forge ahead. In recent days, foreign trade enterprises in Lishui District have sounded the production “assembly call,” focusing on new business models, new products, and new markets. They are opening new maritime trade routes, fighting for orders, ramping up production, and busy expanding overseas, all in a determined effort to achieve a strong start in the first quarter.

Walking into the ice-washing workshop of Skyworth Electronics in the Lishui Development Zone, refrigerator and washing machine components move rapidly on the production line. Workers are busily assembling, testing, and packaging, with the production line running at full capacity to meet first-quarter orders and push for a strong “opening red.”

Innovation is gradually becoming a new competitive advantage for foreign trade enterprises. Skyworth Electronics, deeply involved in the smart home appliance industry, continues to increase its research and development efforts. The company rapidly updates its product iterations and strives to expand overseas markets, precisely matching the diversified market demand. Its innovative products, such as zero-inset refrigerators, dual-drive compartment washing machines, and mini washing machines, have become popular both domestically and internationally due to their green, intelligent, and fashionable features.

“The overseas market for smart home appliances is vast. Our products have reached over 100 countries and regions, including Japan, Germany, and Argentina. In 2024, our export volume grew by 25% year-on-year,” said Liu Hongming, the company’s financial director, with confidence. Since the beginning of this year, monthly shipments have exceeded 200,000 units, with orders already scheduled through July and August. The company’s 2025 export target is 2.8 million units, with the first-quarter export value expected to reach 600 million yuan, a 36% year-on-year increase.

Starting with a sprint, from the very beginning, companies are racing to secure orders. The scene is similarly busy in the Yongyang Industrial Park. Various companies are fighting for orders, increasing production, and expanding markets as they embark on a new journey. At Jiangsu Handian Health Technology Co., Ltd., automated production equipment runs at high speed, with workers working hard to fulfill foreign trade orders. From boiling and shaping to bottling and labeling, each production step is well-organized, and capacity is fully maximized.

Jiangsu Handian Health Technology Co., Ltd. is involved in the research, production, and sales of nutritional and health foods. Its main product, gel candies, is exported to the United States, Vietnam, and other countries through cross-border e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and TikTok. In 2024, the company’s export value exceeded 100 million yuan.

“Cross-border e-commerce has become a new channel for expanding international markets. This year, we will enter the Shopee platform and establish an independent website to fully expand into the Southeast Asian market,” said Yang Sihan, the company’s cross-border e-commerce business director.

From the village to the sea, an increasing number of Lishui agricultural products are being exported overseas. Nanjing Golden Manor Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. has been dedicated to the strawberry industry for over a decade. Since obtaining export qualifications in 2023, its fresh fruit has been exported to countries like Singapore, the United States, and the UAE. After helping Lishui strawberries begin their global journey, the company has successfully exported 12.4 tons of cream corn and 25 tons of rock sugar pears to Costco in the United States, the UK, and Japan.

“This month, we have shipped 50 tons of rock sugar pears to Canada. This year, we will continue to expand into markets like Australia and more overseas regions, sharing this ‘sweetness’ from Lishui with the world,” said Zheng Duo, head of the overseas business department at Golden Manor.

Foreign trade is an important engine for driving economic growth. In 2024, the total import and export value of Lishui District reached 21.66 billion yuan, a 46% year-on-year increase, ranking first in the city.

With the support of policies, foreign trade enterprises are setting sail. In 2025, our district will focus on the “Help Enterprises Go Abroad Together” initiative, providing integrated, one-stop, comprehensive value-added services for enterprises. This will help more companies go abroad with ease and move forward steadily, striving to achieve a strong start in the first quarter of foreign trade and set the stage for high-quality foreign trade development throughout the year.
