Foreign trade is an important engine for driving economic growth. In the first quarter of this year, Lishui District delivered an impressive performance in foreign trade. Data shows that from January to March, the district's total foreign trade import and export volume reached 5.91 billion yuan, an increase of 92.3%, ranking first in the city and exceeding the city’s average level by 92.4 percentage points. Of this, exports accounted for 4.19 billion yuan, up 73.4%; imports reached 1.72 billion yuan, with an astonishing increase of 161.6%. All three core indicators displayed explosive growth.

At a recent conference held by Skyworth, where over 2,000 global merchants gathered in Lishui, the latest innovative achievements of Skyworth as a leading home appliance enterprise were showcased. For over ten years, Skyworth has rooted itself in Lishui Development Zone, focusing on smart manufacturing, with innovative products like ultra-thin, zero-embedded refrigerators and DD inverter washing machines gaining favor in the international market. “Our products have been exported to nearly 100 countries and regions worldwide,” a company representative noted, adding that the company is experiencing rapid growth in exports, with order volumes consistently remaining high. Currently, orders on hand are scheduled through July, reflecting a 15% increase compared to the same period last year.

Agricultural product exports also performed remarkably. After successfully launching the “Mei Xiaotu” strawberry brand in international markets, Nanjing Golden Manor Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. achieved bulk exports of cream corn and rock sugar pears in the first quarter of this year, allowing more distinctive Lishui agricultural products to reach the world.

To assist enterprises in expanding into international markets, Lishui District has innovatively launched the “Helping Enterprises Go Global Together” initiative. By integrating resources from customs and leading enterprises, a cross-border e-commerce service center has been established, creating an online service area for “worry-free overseas expansion.” This provides integrated, one-stop, comprehensive value-added services to help more companies venture abroad with confidence and stability. Currently, foreign trade enterprises in the district are seizing opportunities and actively exploring new markets, setting the stage for high-quality development in foreign trade for the entire year.
