JD's Ninth Regional Distribution Center in the Country Settles in Lishui

On the afternoon of May 30, the signing ceremony for JD Logistics'  Nanjing RDC (Regional Distribution Center) project was held in the  Lishui Economic Development Zone.

The first phase of the project is located in the Lishui Airport Major Customs Area, which will fully leverage the region's logistics infrastructure and transportation advantages to become an important logistics hub serving the northeastern region of China.

JD Logistics will invest heavily in the Nanjing RDC project for the procurement and installation of automated equipment, including advanced automated sorting systems, smart warehouse management systems, and more, to achieve efficient, precise, and intelligent order processing. The center is planned to manage 1.1 million SKUs (stock-keeping units), supporting the fast turnover of a full range of products to meet consumers' diverse needs.

Wei Xiaohui, Vice President of JD Group, stated that the Nanjing RDC project is an important step in JD Logistics' effort to improve its nationwide logistics network layout. By integrating smart infrastructure with the regional industrial belt, it aims to build an efficient, intelligent, and green logistics hub that provides high-quality and convenient logistics services to the northeastern region of China.

It is worth noting that this is the second time JD has launched a significant logistics project in Lishui. In 2022, the JD Nanjing Operations Headquarters Base project was completed and put into use in the Lishui Economic Development Zone, primarily responsible for the storage and transfer of large goods. The establishment of the RDC project will further strengthen JD's logistics service capabilities in East China.

As JD's ninth regional distribution center nationwide, the project will create over 1,000 new jobs upon operation, injecting new momentum into the economic development of Lishui.
