On the morning of June 21, led by Li Jian'an, Academician of the American Academy of Medical Sciences, Former Chairman of the International Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine, and Director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center of Jiangsu Province Hospital, Jiangsu Province Rehabilitation Hospital, the first large-scale rehabilitation hospital in Jiangsu Province, starts construction in Lishui, Nanjing. After completion, it is expected to become the world-class and domestic top-level rehabilitation hospital. This is also a sample of "Healthy China" strategy in Lishui.

The total investment in Jiangsu Province Rehabilitation Hospital is 1.8 billion yuan, with 1000 beds planned. With the joint support by Nanjing Medical University and Jiangsu Province Hospital, the project has gathered 1 State Key Laboratory, 1State-levelInternationalJointResearchCenter, an academician of Chinese Academy of engineering and domestic first-class research-oriented medical universities, institutions and experts. It adopts CARF certification standard to ensurean effective layout of world-leading rehabilitation therapy, rehabilitation nursing and rehabilitation evaluation facilities.

With the aging of the population, the frequent occurrence of major diseases, and the upgrading of residents' health consumption, the demand for rehabilitation care is rising rapidly. The construction of provincial rehabilitation hospital in Jiangsu Province is not only to fill the gap of large-scale Three-A rehabilitation hospitals in the province, but also to alleviate the contradiction between medical supply and demand of regional and even national rehabilitation resources.
