On May 30, as part of the "2025 Nanjing Talent Day" series of activities, the Dean of the School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering of universities, Lishui trip, and the “Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Exchange Conference” were held in Lishui. The event brought together representatives from the Science and Technology Town Leaders Group, universities, industry associations, and key enterprises in the industrial chain, focusing on industry trends and opportunities, deepening cooperation in industry-university-research development, and injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of Nanjing’s intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry.

The event was attended by Tang Jinhui, Vice President of Nanjing Forestry University; Wei Ping, Vice President of Nanjing Polytechnic; Wu Xia, Deputy Director of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau; Zhuo Xiaolin, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Director of the Talent Service Center; Li Zhilai, Deputy General Manager of Southeast Group and General Manager of Nanjing Talent Group; Ge Kai, Secretary-General of Jiangsu Automotive Engineering Society; and Lishui District leaders Fei Lili, Chen Jianning, Xu Xinzhou, among others. Together, they launched the “Nanjing Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Feature Industry Cluster and Industry Development Innovation Alliance.”

Innovation Alliance Launch: Building an Industry Ecosystem

At the event, the “Nanjing Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Feature Industry Cluster and Industry Development Innovation Alliance” was officially established. The alliance, co-built by government departments, universities, industry associations, and key enterprises in the industrial chain, aims to integrate resources and build a collaborative innovation ecosystem for government, industry, academia, research, and application.

Fei Lili, Standing Committee Member of the Lishui District Committee and Member of the District Government Party Leadership Group, expressed in her speech that the core of industrial upgrading lies in innovation, and the key to innovation depends on talent, which is cultivated by universities. This dialogue with top universities is a practical integration of “industry-university-research-application” and an important step for Lishui to move towards the creation of a “trillion-level” automotive industry cluster. Lishui will continue to optimize the business environment, help enterprises develop with efficient services, and sincerely invite all sectors of society to join in building a new industrial highland.

Tang Jinhui stated that universities are the main force in technological innovation and will leverage their advantages in scientific research and talent, focusing on the new directions of new energy and intelligent connected vehicles. He encouraged teams, disciplines, and enterprises to pair up and implement partnership action plans for win-win cooperation and joint development.

Talent Project Signing: Strengthening Intellectual Support

At the event, Lishui District strongly promoted the development of the intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry and Lishui’s talent housing policies, such as “Li7 Housing” and other talent support measures. Ten industry experts were awarded the “Specially Appointed Experts for Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry Development” certificates, gathering professional wisdom for industry development.

The talent project signing session achieved fruitful results. To implement the “Partner Park” growth plan, the event facilitated strategic cooperation agreements for high-level talent recruitment between Nanjing Talent Group and key industrial chain enterprises such as Hengtian Lingrui and Longxin Electronics. Nanjing Talent Fund reached intention service agreements with four industrial talent projects, including Send Micro Systems, Chiyun Technology, Momentum Materials, and Pinsheng Medical. Nanjing Polytechnic signed agreements with Hengtian Lingrui, and Nanjing Forestry University partnered with Nanjing Chang’an Automobile to jointly build industry talent practice bases, creating an “order-based” talent training model to further strengthen the deep integration of industry and talent.

Experts Discuss the Future and Diagnose Industry Trends

During the specialized seminar, industry experts conducted in-depth discussions on technological breakthroughs and market prospects for intelligent connected new energy vehicles:

1. Wang Ruocheng, Dean of the School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering at Jiangsu University, deeply analyzed the challenges and opportunities facing the intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry.

2. Liu Yong, Senior Technical Expert at Autar Engineering Software (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., shared the practical application results of AI and simulation technology integration in automotive R&D.

3. Dong Zhaozhi, Executive Vice President of Kewo New Energy Vehicle Group Co., Ltd., introduced Skyworth Automobile’s industrial exploration and practices in intelligent connected technology.

Hu Lulu, Director of Nanjing E-Coffee Smart Car Technology Co., Ltd., focused on the application prospects of L4-level autonomous driving technology in urban service scenarios, offering new ideas for industry development.

In recent years, Lishui District has adhered to building its foundation on manufacturing and strengthening the district through industries, focusing on developing the “Two New and Two Smart” (New Energy, New Medicine and Life Health, Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment, Smart Agriculture) leading industries. In the new energy vehicle sector, it has already gathered three vehicle enterprises such as Changan, Kewo, and Hengtian, along with more than 100 supporting enterprises, with an industrial output value of 60 billion yuan expected in 2024.

To promote the coordination between industry and talent, Lishui fully utilizes the resources of universities and institutions, continues to cultivate, introduce, and properly use talents, and has issued a series of documents such as “Building a New Talent Aggregation Highland in the Region,” “Talent-Strong District 18 Articles,” and

Lishui District’s “Purple Mountain Talent Card Management Measures,” along with supporting policies for talent introduction, cultivation, and retention. The “Lishui District University Alliance” was established, and 14 new research institutions were jointly built with universities such as Zhejiang University and Southeast University, facilitating 132 industry-academia-research cooperation projects.

Currently, Lishui is seizing the opportunity for the development of intelligent connected new energy vehicles. In the future, it will continue to introduce and cultivate intelligent connected new energy vehicle talents through the integration of the innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain, and talent chain, promoting more innovative results from the laboratory to the production line and continuously injecting innovative momentum into the creation of a trillion-level industry cluster.
