So far this year,Lishui District has been fully committed to boosting the economy, grabbing projects, and promoting development,delivering an impressive economic "semi-annual report."The region's GDP reached 53.381 billion yuan,an increase of 6.2% year-on-year,with growth rates ranking among the top in the city.Behind this achievement lies the strong growth of the industrial economy, the efficient advancement of major projects, the collaborative efforts in consumption and foreign trade, as well as precise policies and a united development trend across the district.

Industrial Economy as a "Strong Engine"  Leading Industries Show Strong Momentum

Industry is the core driving force behind Lishui's economic growth. In the first half of the year, the total industrial output value of the district's designated large-scale enterprises reached 60.844 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8%, with growth rates ranking among the top in the city. Notably, leading industries such as new energy vehicles and intelligent manufacturing performed exceptionally well.

At the production workshop of Nanjing Longxin Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., the high-end copper foil material production line is operating at full capacity. "Currently, our monthly output reaches more than 3,800 tons, mainly supplying companies like BYD and Xinwand." A company representative noted that in the first half of the year, the firm’s output value reached 1.5 billion yuan, an increase of nearly 30% year-on-year. To meet market demand, the second phase of the project has been gradually put into production, with current capacity utilization reaching 90%. When fully operational next year, it will boost annual capacity to 58,000 tons.

The new energy vehicle industry is a leading sector in Lishui. As a key player in the supply chain, the automotive seat manufacturer Magna has seen its business scale continuously expand since relocating to Lishui Development Zone in 2016. "We have stable monthly orders, supplying clients including Nanjing Chang'an, Mazda, and Geely, with an average monthly output of 30,000 sets." Liu Wei, the company's financial officer, stated that in the first half of the year, the company's output value reached 410 million yuan, achieving 50% of its annual target. As the automotive industry enters its peak season in the second half of the year, monthly production is expected to increase by 20%.

"Precise services tailored to each enterprise" help stabilize production and increase efficiency. A relevant official from Lishui's Economic and Information Technology Bureau stated that they will deepen the enterprise outreach mechanism, assisting companies in resolving issues related to market expansion and financing through activities like "Entrepreneur Service Day." They will also accelerate the cultivation of "specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative" enterprises, striving to achieve annual industrial economic development goals.

Accelerated Project Construction  Full-Cycle Services Enhance Efficiency

At the Jeya Intelligent Equipment project site in Lishui Development Zone, workers are busy tying rebar for the ground beams. As a leading enterprise in the field of polymer production equipment, Jeya Equipment is investing 250 million yuan to build an intelligent high-end complete extrusion machine production line, which will have an annual output of 800 units upon commencement. "Thanks to the 'Five Certificates Issued Together' policy, it took only 5 days from land acquisition to construction start." Chairman Chen Long explained that the first floor of the office building has been completed, and the foundations of two factory buildings are finished, with completion expected in December this year.

At the project site of Jingjinyuan Technology Industry Co., Ltd., three main buildings have already risen. As a major municipal project located in Dongping Street, this project will establish new production lines with an annual capacity of 5,000 tons of plastic products and bonding resins. "The project is progressing smoothly; the office building and main workshop were completed in May, and we are now accelerating the construction of the warehouse," said Financial Manager Chen Zhongqin, adding that the entire project is expected to be completed in November, with an anticipated annual output value of 200 million yuan.

Major projects are the "ballast stone" of economic development. Since the beginning of this year, Lishui District has deepened the integrated service mechanism of "Five Services," promoting early commencement, production, and effectiveness of projects. In the first half of the year, all 23 major provincial and municipal projects commenced, with a 93.8% commencement rate for 225 key industrial projects; 7 projects have been completed and put into production. An official from the Major Projects Office of the Lishui Development and Reform Commission noted that in the second half of the year, they will continue to improve the full lifecycle service mechanism for projects, using innovative measures like "pre-verification and trial operation" to ensure projects "achieve production upon commissioning." At the same time, they will focus on招商(business attraction) along the industrial chain, accelerating the implementation and transformation of ongoing projects to accumulate stronger momentum for high-quality economic development.

Double Boost in Consumption and Foreign Trade  Vibrant Internal and External Circulation

While industry and project construction drive growth, the consumption and foreign trade markets also performed impressively. In the first half of the year, the district's retail and catering sales reached 49.068 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.3%, with growth rates ranking among the top in the city; total foreign trade import and export value reached 11.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 75.5%, also ranking among the city's top.

"I came to line up early; the discounts are great." On June 13, the opening of Hema NB was bustling with popularity. A summer consumption promotion event was simultaneously held outside the store, featuring a variety of booths for automobiles, cultural tourism, and more, with consumer vouchers providing substantial savings.

Since the beginning of this year, Lishui District has successfully introduced six first stores from Nanjing, including Chasing, Zhan Chuan Wei, and Hema NB, attracting more visitors to the commercial area. During holidays, the daily foot traffic in commercial complexes reached about 60,000, a year-on-year increase of 20%, with daily sales averaging about 5 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16%. The district held 96 consumption promotion events, actively implementing policies for exchanging old consumer products for new ones, and organized local businesses to participate in promotional activities for automobiles, home appliances (3C), home furnishings, and electric bicycles, using around 50 million yuan in subsidies from the exchange program to stimulate consumption exceeding 600 million yuan.

"Going abroad to secure orders" helps enhance the quality and efficiency of foreign trade. This year, Lishui District launched innovative specific actions like "I Run Orders for Enterprises" and "Helping Enterprises Go Abroad Together," organizing over 20 companies to participate in international exhibitions such as the Russian International Machine Tool Exhibition and the Mexican Industrial Exhibition; they also organized enterprises like Zhengrui Electric and Xieyi Machinery to participate in provincial and municipal foreign trade matching events. At the 137th Canton Fair, 17 enterprises from Lishui set up 73 booths, a record high, securing 280 million yuan in intended orders, a year-on-year increase of 33%.

In the second half of the year, Lishui District will focus on the "first store economy" and "night economy," continuously releasing consumption potential. They will also organize enterprises to participate in key exhibitions like the Canton Fair and the Import Expo, promoting the integrated development of domestic and foreign trade and cultivating more new growth points.

With the continuous release of the driving effect from leading enterprises, the accelerated production of major projects, and the collaborative efforts in consumption and foreign trade, Lishui District is resolving development challenges through reforms, leading transformation and upgrade through innovation, and continuously strengthening the foundation of the manufacturing industry, injecting strong momentum for high-quality development throughout the year.
