Not far away, supporting companies responsible for automotive seats, power batteries, and intelligent in-vehicle equipment are busy with production... On Lishui New Energy Avenue, it is almost possible to assemble a complete new energy vehicle on-site.

Five years ago, the output value of Lishui’s new energy vehicle industry had just surpassed 37 billion yuan; today, that number has crossed the 60 billion yuan mark, growing by nearly 6 billion yuan each year, with vehicle production escalating from thousands to tens of thousands, and component production capacity accounting for 70% of the city's total.

From "a single vehicle" to "a whole chain," what exactly is Lishui's secret?

Leading Enterprises, Industrial Ecosystem "Clustered Chains"

In five years, Lishui has crossed three thresholds of 10 billion yuan in output value, and the driving force of leading enterprises cannot be overlooked. As the first company in Lishui to surpass 10 billion yuan in output value, Nanjing Chang'an is not only the industry leader but also the sole production base for the deep blue S07 model. With the deep blue S07 continuing to sell well, Nanjing Chang'an's output value reached 14 billion yuan in 2024.

The strong "magnetism" of leading companies attracts numerous supporting enterprises in the industrial chain. Recently, at a high-quality development promotion conference for the industrial chain, Zhejiang Chiyun Technology Co., Ltd., which has deep cooperation with the Chang'an group, signed an agreement to settle in Lishui. The company specializes in head-up display products and is currently in business discussions with Deep Blue Auto. Company Chairman Wang Yunfan stated, “Wherever the customer base is, that’s where our base will go.”

Such stories are continuously unfolding in Lishui. On November 30, the new intelligent factory of Nanjing Huateng Auto Parts, with a total investment of 500 million yuan, was completed and went into production in the development zone. This company, specializing in steering devices, adds a new force to the new energy industry chain. Currently, Lishui has gathered three vehicle manufacturers—Chang'an, Kaiwo, and Hengtian—along with over 100 core component manufacturers, forming a collaborative industrial ecosystem. From January to October this year, the output value of the new energy vehicle industry in the district reached 54.67 billion yuan, an increase of 7.6% year-on-year, producing 59,700 new energy vehicles.

Smart Manufacturing Empowerment, Production System "Innovation and Efficiency"

Unlike traditional manufacturing, Lishui's new energy vehicle industry started from a high baseline of "intelligent +." Here, smart manufacturing scenarios are everywhere.

Nanjing Chang'an’s 5G-connected smart factory was put into use at the end of 2022 and has been recognized as a provincial and national-level 5G factory project. In the workshop, over 400 mobile robots collaborate under an intelligent system, capable of switching between more than 3,000 personalized combinations, increasing the production rhythm to 102 seconds per vehicle.

The wave of smart manufacturing has spread throughout the district. In October of this year, the new factory of Yika Intelligent Vehicle, with a total investment of 3 billion yuan, officially commenced operations. Inside the workshop, red robotic arms move in an orderly fashion, and AGV (automated guided vehicle) carts shuttle autonomously, producing a driverless vehicle every six minutes, embodying the new speed of "Lishui Intelligent Manufacturing" with flexible, modular production.

The intelligent factory of Nanjing Huateng Auto Parts has also laid out 50 fully automated cold forging steering device production lines, with an annual capacity of 12 million units. “By fully applying smart equipment and production management systems, the factory has achieved digital control of the entire process, improving overall production efficiency by over 30%,” stated Chairman Yang Jixi.

Scenario-Driven, Accelerating the Landing of Future Mobility

From intelligent manufacturing to practical applications, Lishui is promoting the deep integration of new energy vehicles with smart connectivity and autonomous driving technologies. Once fully operational, Yika Intelligent Vehicle will produce 20,000 driverless vehicles annually, which will be applied in various fields such as logistics, security, and sanitation. “Driverless logistics vehicles not only alleviate the pressure of labor shortages but also optimize driving efficiency through intelligent route planning, significantly reducing operating costs,” explained Du Wanyun, Project Director of Nanjing Yika Intelligent Vehicle's smart factory.

The exploration of cutting-edge technologies does not stop here. At the recently held 2025 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference, Kaiwo Group showcased innovative products such as the Skyworth Urban Elf and driverless delivery vehicles, fully demonstrating the company's breakthrough achievements in the field of autonomous driving. Currently, driverless vehicles have been deployed in real scenarios such as airport shuttles and express delivery.

Lishui is systematically laying out the smart connected vehicle industry: the district has deployed 20 driverless logistics vehicles, achieving regular operations in multiple scenarios such as autonomous cleaning and smart security; it has opened 12 intelligent connected testing roads covering the city's main roads and core park road networks; and it has created a 25-kilometer “Express Mail Quick Supply” driverless delivery demonstration route to facilitate smooth logistics for the "last mile" in urban and rural areas.

From leading enterprises to cluster formations, from smart manufacturing to autonomous driving, Lishui's new energy vehicle industry is advancing rapidly toward the goal of becoming a 100 billion yuan industrial cluster.
