"Bay Area Certification" Jiangsu Sub-Center Established in Nanjing National Agricultural High-Tech Zone

On the morning of January 30, the signing ceremony for the Jiangsu Sub-Center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area "Bay Area Certification" was successfully held at the Science and Innovation Center of the Agricultural High-Tech Zone, marking the official launch of this high-standard quality certification system in the zone.

Gao Guosheng, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Provincial Intellectual Property Protection Center, and Liu Renxiang, Second-Level Inspector of Lishui District and Member of the District Government Party Leadership Group, attended the event and delivered speeches. Attendees at the signing ceremony also included Lü Na, Director of the Certification, Accreditation, Inspection, and Testing Supervision and Management Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Administration; Liu Linshui, Fourth-Level Investigator of the Certification Supervision and Management Department of the Nanjing Municipal Market Supervision Administration; Tu Weiguo, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Nanjing National Agricultural High-Tech Zone and Secretary of the Party Committee of Baima Town; Song Yang, Director of the Management Committee of Nanjing National Agricultural High-Tech Zone; and Zhao Xuebao, Director and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Lishui District Market Supervision Administration and Director of the District Intellectual Property Office.

In his speech, Gao Guosheng pointed out that "Bay Area Certification" is a high-standard quality certification system guided by the government and driven by the market. Its core is to establish a "commitment-testing-compensation" closed loop, where companies publicly commit to prohibiting the use of harmful substances, undergo strict testing by authoritative third parties, and establish a mechanism for premium compensation, achieving "premium standards for premium prices." This aims to drive out inferior products through credible certification and lead the healthy upgrading of the market. Since its launch in 2024, "Bay Area Certification" has issued over 320 certificates, covering products in agriculture, food, and other fields, gaining high market recognition and enabling efficient entry into high-end retail channels such as Sam's Club. The establishment of the Jiangsu Sub-Center will bring this innovative model to serve local enterprises, helping high-quality Jiangsu products win the market with credibility and achieve high-quality development.

In his speech, Liu Renxiang extended warm congratulations on the signing of the cooperation agreement. He noted that the establishment of the "Bay Area Certification" sub-center aligns with the urgent needs of local enterprises for quality improvement and development. He stated that Lishui District will fully support the construction of the sub-center by strengthening organizational guarantees, forming a professional team, and ensuring its efficient operation; deepening interactive exchanges, establishing regular communication mechanisms, and actively learning from advanced experiences; and promoting precise implementation, using the sub-center as a leverage point to radiate its influence across the district and beyond, screening and assisting local high-quality products in obtaining certification. These three measures will ensure the effective implementation of the cooperation and translate opportunities into tangible development outcomes.

During the ceremony, Lu Yongchi, Operations Director of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Certification Promotion Center, and Song Yang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Nanjing National Agricultural High-Tech Zone, signed the cooperation agreement as representatives of both parties.

According to the agreement, both parties will leverage the industrial and innovation platform advantages of Nanjing National Agricultural High-Tech Zone to jointly promote the application and dissemination of "Bay Area Certification" standards in Jiangsu and surrounding regions. The establishment of the Jiangsu Sub-Center will provide enterprises with convenient and efficient certification services, helping them improve product quality, brand value, and market competitiveness. It will also assist high-quality products in agriculture, food, and other fields to better connect with the Greater Bay Area market and meet international trade requirements.

On the afternoon of January 30, the first weekend fair of the Nanjing "Benefiting Farmers Market" was held at Hexi Golden Eagle World. At the event, Gao Guosheng, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Provincial Intellectual Property Protection Center, and Tu Weiguo, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Nanjing National Agricultural High-Tech Zone and Secretary of the Party Committee of Baima Town, jointly unveiled the plaque for the Jiangsu Sub-Center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Certification Promotion Center.

Nanjing National Agricultural High-Tech Zone will take this signing as a new starting point, leveraging the strong momentum of "Bay Area Certification" to focus on high-quality and distinctive agricultural and food processing. It will provide convenient and efficient certification services, assist in upgrading the zone's characteristic industries, promote the two-way flow of high-end products and quality services between the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the Agricultural High-Tech Zone.
