Settling In! Lishui Accelerates Building a Short Drama Industry Hub

On March 12th, the Feiyan Online Audiovisual Industrial Park Strategic Cooperation and AI Short Drama Company Settlement Signing Ceremony was held in the Feiyan Cultural Industry Block, Lishui District. Multiple cooperation agreements were signed on-site, marking an accelerated pace for the agglomerated development of Lishui's short drama industry.

At the signing ceremony, Nanjing Yanxi Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Yanlai Film and Television Technology Co., Ltd. inked a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will work together to promote the high-quality operation of the Feiyan Online Audiovisual Industrial Park and attract high-quality short drama projects to settle in Lishui. Concurrently, two high-quality short drama enterprises—AI short drama companies—formally settled in the park. They will focus on integrating AI technology with live-action short dramas, covering the entire chain from script creation to production and distribution, injecting technological momentum into Lishui's short drama industry.

As the core vehicle for accelerating short drama industry agglomeration in Lishui District, the Feiyan Online Audiovisual Industrial Park is under rapid construction. Located within the Feiyan Cultural Industry Block, the park has a planned total area of approximately 6,000 square meters. It features over 20 types of practical sets including European-style villas, modern offices, banquet halls, and medical spaces, capable of meeting the shooting needs for various genres. "We will provide full-process support for crews filming in Lishui, from project connectiontoimplementationservices, covering accommodation, dining, location coordination, and more," introduced Li Yijun, General Manager of Nanjing Yanxi Cultural Industry Development Co., Ltd. Currently, Buildings 6 and 10 of the Feiyan Online Audiovisual Industrial Park are operational, and Building 15 is expected to be operational by the end of March this year.

Since last year, Lishui District has seized the development opportunities in the online audiovisual industry, positioning the short drama industry as a key driver for cultural development. In July 2025, Lishui's first micro-short drama entirely filmed at local locations, "I Just Got Older, Not Weaker", was officially launched and broadcast. In January 2026, by revitalizing existing assets and focusing on carrier hardware facilities, Lishui completed and put into operation Phase I of the Feiyan Online Audiovisual Industrial Park. In March 2026, leading short drama enterprises were signed to settle in, accelerating the layout of the new track of AI-powered short drama creation and promoting the qualitative upgrading of the short drama industry.

As the industrial ecosystem continues to improve and the agglomeration effect becomes increasingly evident, Lishui has so far hosted 21 production crews, attracting over 4,000 personnel visits and stimulating local consumption exceeding 3 million yuan.

Currently, Lishui has gathered specialized filming carriers such as the Feiyan Online Audiovisual Industrial Park and the Shiqiu Film and Television Base, while also possessing rich practical filming resources like Wuxiang Water Town, Zhou Garden, and Yu Garden. This forms a diversified filming matrix of "professional studio sets + natural and cultural landscapes," providing varied scene choices for short drama creation.

"We will work with our partners to attract more production crews to settle in, building a one-stop service platform that allows crews to 'arrive and film' with minimal setup," said Zhang Min, head of the Cultural Industry Section of the District Party Committee Propaganda Department. In the future, efforts will continue to deepen industrial integration, leveraging AI technology to build a full industrial chain ecosystem covering creation, filming, and distribution, aiming to establish a new regional hub of influence in the short drama industry.
